Founded in 2021, le19M is Chanel’s signature Métiers d’art address housing around 700 of the classic brand’s artisanal partners as well as 11 fashion and decoration Maisons d’art- from their button makers, to their tweed creators, to their leather cobblers, and everything in between- many of them partners of the Parisian couture house since the early 20th century. Now, the hub is spreading its sartorial and historical reach, presenting a new cultural programme in the Japanese capital from 30th September to 20th October 2025.
“This international project, curated and carried out by la Galerie du 19M, strongly embodies the values of the Maisons d’art: passion, transmission, and generosity,” Bruno Pavlovsky, le19M’s President shares. “In the heart of Tokyo, visitors will be immersed in a bespoke creative dialogue, through which people of all ages will be able to explore the crafts, participate in workshops, and appreciate both the richness of our heritage and the modernity of contemporary interpretations.”

le19M’s second international endeavour after their global debut in Dakar, Senegal in 2023, la Galerie du 19M Tokyo will be hosted on the 52nd floor of Tokyo’s Mori Tower, Roppongi Hills.
The programme is set to feature a number of talks, participative workshops and cultural tutorials for fashion connoisseurs and practitioners of the sartorial arts alike. A group show showcasing Japanese sartorialists and a number of Maisons d’art is also set to be shown during the event, with the show curated by film director and head of Kinema Museum, Momoko Ando, Magazine House Casa BRUTUS editor-in-chief, Yoichi Nishio, SIMPLICITY founder and creative director, Shinichiro Ogata, Curator, Kayo Tokuda, and Atelier Montex’s artistic director, Aska Yamashita.
The event aims to bring together the timeless allure of Chanel’s elegance with the ancient practices of Japanese art and craftsmanship.
