Long-time Red Bull athlete and skateboarding icon Sandro Dias shattered world records skating down the side of a Brazilian skyscraper, the Centro Administrativo Fernando Ferrari building in Porto Alegre, wearing battle armour-level drip from Prada’s Linea Rossa, fulfilling a personal dream on September 25, 2025.

The six-time vert world champion, was later Guinness’d for setting new height and speed records in the category after dropping from 70 meters and reaching speeds of 103 kilometers an hour from the world’s tallest skate ramp — the Fernando Ferrari building’s facade, which looks just like a quarter pipe, sloping downwards. In “vert” — a ramp-based pipe-centric skating genre that emphasises defying gravity, skaters pump up and down bracing for aerial stunts like flips and grabs before landing, and repeat.

“I’m incredibly proud to have Prada Linea Rossa be part of this challenge,” said Dias. “They’ve brought significant value and visibility to the project, especially alongside Red Bull. Through their support, what began as my dream has become theirs too.”

Prada Linea Rossa’s design language is movement-forward and human first. Inspired by supporting the body’s natural mobility through textile innovation, the team provided Dias with custom high-performance garments and accessories that offered the perfect blend of dynamic range and comfort for his stunt.

Dias says the light, breathable and heat-sealed fabric stood up to the stress of daily skating, training and preparation, up until the critical moment.

“Through their support, what began as my dream has become theirs too,” said Dias.

This project marks the latest chapter in the ongoing partnership between Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull, sharing dedication to promote sporting that empowers athletes to break new ground, and their limits.

“I’m very happy this happened,” said Dias. “It’s very hard in the beginning to understand, ‘What would Prada want with a skateboarder?’ But thank you Prada. You supported us a lot. I am so proud to have worn Prada. It’s a nice brand and it’s not just for skateboarders either.”
