The internet reacts to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl news

Can someone please check on Drake?

Rapper, Pulitzer Prize winner, and The People vs Canada winner (as Vulture and the rest of the world have crowned him) Kendrick Lamar will headline Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on February 9. After his brief performance with Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and 50 Cent in 2022, Lamar will make his Super Bowl stage debut once more.

“What’s the deal, everybody? My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl 59.” the rapper explained in a video he posted on socials yesterday (September 8). “Will you be pulling up? I hope so. You know there’s only one opportunity to win the championship. No round twos. Let’s get it!” Many believe the last line is in reference to his ongoing beef with Drake, who famously alluded to a “round two” to their feud after Lamar released the obliterating diss track “Not Like Us”.

Their beef, which consumed public consciousness for the first half of the summer, saw Lamar perform his diss tracks towards Drake, not once at his The Pop Out: Ken and Friends concert in June but six times.

Lamar is one of the most influential hip-hop artists of our generation, and while everyone is excited to watch an artist so good at their craft perform, they are even more excited to see the new ways Lamar will continue being the next level hater towards the Canadian rapper and singer.

Below is a roundup of the internet’s reactions to Lamar’s Super Bowl announcement and people making fun of Drizzy Drake x
