Boxed: Form and function with Lebanese-Ivorian brand Super Yaya
Text Raïs Saleh
In Boxed, we explore the surreal intersection of reality and simulation, inspired by Anna-Nicole Ziesche’s iconic 2003 film “Box Project” for Italian fashion house Capucci. Photographed by Daniella Maiorano and styled by Rita Zebdi, in collaboration with the Ivorian-Lebanese brand Super Yaya, the story brings to life a vision of fashion where the boundaries between the real and the imagined blur effortlessly.

The concept of the “box,” a symbol of containment and protection, plays a central role throughout the shoot, reflecting Ziesche’s exploration of spaces—both physical and metaphorical. The imagery is saturated with novelty, incorporating two-dimensional packaging boxes that elevate everyday objects into the realm of high fashion.
In doing so, the editorial challenges the traditional notion of clothing, questioning its purpose and how we live and exist within our own boxes. Through Boxed, we are reminded of fashion’s ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, creating a dialogue between form and function.
