Some stories move through us like currents, subtle yet impossible to resist. Tonight, SN3 Studio invites the world into one of these stories through the introduction of its latest collection, Sun & Rain, with a short film of the same name. Though this is no ordinary launch nor mere visual accompaniment to their latest collection; it’s a meditation on connection; on the quiet, youthful exchanges that shape us, and the careful treading of the jagged yet forgiving terrain of requited love that ripples across generations.
Rooted in their African heritage, SN3 Studio continues to merge storytelling and fashion into a seamless narrative that bridges tradition with modernity. Directed by Omar El Mahri and brought to life by Crude Productions, the roughly two-minute film holds a mirror into love’s unguarded moments, echoing the universal rhythm of human connection.
A grandmother braids her granddaughter’s hair as she exchanges modest wisdom about the nature and nourishment of love; two brothers share unspoken bonds of admiration; and the fleeting yet serendipitous meeting of kindred souls whose connection blossoms in a mere instant whisks viewers into the world of subtlety —how love bends, grows and endures in spaces most would overlook. These vignettes unfold like a family album, painting love not as a grand gesture but a quiet undercurrent that replenishes and binds us all, no matter the relationship or place.
“Love is like a seed,” Fatima’s grandmother explains, her hands gliding through her granddaughter’s hair as if grounding the director’s truth in a familiar ritual. “It needs both sun and rain to grow.” This sobering reminder becomes the marrow of the collection and short film, branching out into unobtrusive snapshots that tie love’s versatility to feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experiences with it’s ability to alchemize pain into something radiant.

‘Sun & Rain’ doesn’t try to define love for its viewers; instead, it lets love unfold, naturally as it does, in all its forms.
By its close, the words “Create With Love” take center stage as the short film plants an irrefutable idea: love—akin to seeds—flourishes only through tender attention, steadfast hope, and the patience and will to weather every storm together. The film, much like SN3’s latest collection, stands as an ode to the everyday marvels of intimacy, gracefully blending art and historical perseverance with Sudanese’ cultural identity.
