Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again Supper Club Experience transforms Dubai into Hell’s Kitchen

Stepping into Chef Halawa’s iconic Casa Falafel on Wednesday night felt less like arriving at a dinner and more like entering Hell’s Kitchen itself. Drenched in red light inside and out, the intimate Dubai home was transformed into an invite-only supper club inspired by Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 on Disney+, the latest chapter in Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk’s increasingly brutal collision.

The eight-course menu began with a welcome drink, The Northern Star, a pomegranate mocktail. Followed by seven more dishes named after the season’s episodes, all the way to the finale, The Southern Cross. Rather than recreating scenes directly, the experience translated the show’s tension, duality, and moral friction into flavour, texture, and atmosphere.

The standout came with The Scales & The Sword, a charred aubergine dish plated across a split of bright red pomegranate tomato sauce and white yoghurt tahini. As Chef Halawa explained, the contrast symbolised the divide between Matt Murdock and Daredevil, good and evil, and the escalating push and pull between Murdock and Fisk that drives the season forward.

Midway through the dinner, guests were blindfolded for Requiem, a lime and rosewater palate cleanser designed to heighten the senses and momentarily disorient the table. By the final course, Halawa’s signature kunafa arrived stamped with special Daredevil branding for the night’s finale.

The crowd moved between Marvel superfans, Disney+ audiences, creatives, and media personalities including Virgin Radio Dubai presenter Nala Chible, Emirati filmmaker and actor Hussain Al Ahmad, as well as familiar faces Amina Hussein, Ahmed Al Nasheet, Islam Afro, Sara Malas, and Brent Black, turning the evening into something closer to a shared fan ritual than a traditional dinner event.
