Designed to be heard (and seen)

In our region, a speaker isn’t just a speaker – it’s part of the culture. It’s what you pass around at a beach hang, or use to hijack the aux in your friend’s car. It lives on bedside tables, in tote bags, next to incense trays and half-burnt candles. It’s got to sound good, obviously. But it’s also got to look like it belongs in your space.
That’s what makes the Beosound A1 3rd Gen land a little differently. You clock it before you even hear it. And with its rounded edges, 2,173 precision-milled holes, and a redesigned aluminium strap lock by Cecilie Manz, it has the tactile appeal of a design object rather than a piece of tech. The strap is crafted from waterproof leather and the whole thing is soft, minimal, and quietly confident.

Bang & Olufsen call it a speaker, but it feels more like a pocket-sized sculpture (or something you’d spot perched on a concrete side table or framed in a film photo next to a set of coveted coffee table books). Designed with a minimalist expression and a sculptural finish, the Beosound A1 3rd Gen is available in three colourways: Natural Aluminium, and two new tones inspired by nature – Eucalyptus Green and Honey Tone.
And yes, it sounds incredible. It houses the largest woofer in its class, delivering deeper bass with a 64dB Bass SPL, 2dB more than the previous generation. The sound is warm, rich, and room-filling without distortion. With up to 24 hours of battery life, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and stereo pairing compatibility with both 2nd and 3rd Gen models, it’s built to go wherever the vibe takes you.

But what makes it stand out isn’t just performance, it’s purpose. The Beosound A1 3rd Gen is the world’s first modular Bluetooth speaker to be Cradle to Cradle Certified® (Bronze Level), reflecting a genuine commitment to circular design. Built with a modular architecture and intended for a 10-year useful lifecycle, it features a replaceable battery.
This is a speaker designed with intention and for people who care about aesthetics, sound, and sustainability in equal measure.
