Support late photographer Mariam Riyad Abu Dagga and Ahmed Younes through The Palestine Print Platform

For over 76 years, Palestinian artists have been documenting, creating and resisting the systemic attempt at their erasure.
Since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, over 65 thousand Palestinians have been killed by Israel, and the accelerating settler encroachment throughout the West Bank, the work of Palestinian artists has become even more urgent. As ever, our collective response, as fellow creatives and cultural practitioners, in providing direct material support as well as amplification of their work, is an essential duty.
In this spirit, Dazed MENA has joined The Palestine Print Platform, a fundraising initiative launched by Gulf Photo Plus in partnership with Magnum Photos.
The magazine is contributing prints by the late photojournalist Mariam Riyad Abu Dagga, who was killed in a targeted airstrike by Israel on Nasser Hospital on August 25.
It is also contributing prints by Ahmed Younes, who photographed Abu Dagga just 10 days earlier as part of their Issue 03 cover story, which also featured journalists Hind Khoudary, Nour Swirki, Shrouq Al Aila and Renad Attallah.

Abu Dagga, a freelancer with Associated Press and Independent in Arabia, documented the genocide in Gaza with an unflinching lens, often photographing children and families under siege. She is survived by her son, Ghaith. Proceeds from the sale of her prints will go directly to her family.
Meanwhile, Younes, a long-time collaborator with the magazine, previously photographed one of its inaugural Gaza cover stories on parkour – all proceeds from his print will go directly to him in Gaza.

The Palestine Print Platform builds on GPP’s 2024 sale, I Wish to Photograph Beauty, which raised over $80,000 for 36 Palestinian photographers. This new edition features works by 27 Magnum members alongside a wide range of Palestinian artists, including Sakir Khader, Dazed MENA’s recent cover star and long-time collaborator, as well as Maen Hammad and Myriam Boulos. Others include Suhail Nassar, Ismail Abu Hatab, Rehaf Batniji, Fatima Shbair, Samar Abu Elouf, Shareef Sarhan, Samaa Emad, Jehad Alshrafi, Anas Ayyad, Ali Jadallah, Fatma Hassouna, Majdi Fathi and Moayed Abuammouna.
Prints are available in 10” by 15”, with 100% of net proceeds going directly to Palestinian image-makers in Gaza and the West Bank.
