MiMi Mei Fair is serving Lunar New Year in four courses
Text DAZED DIGITAL
From February 5 to March 4, MiMi Mei Fair marks Lunar New Year with a limited-run four-course menu shaped by ritual, symbolism and abundance. Created in honour of the Year of the Fire Horse, the experience draws on Cantonese dining traditions where prosperity, longevity and renewal are expressed through shared dishes and deliberate gesture.
The evening begins at the wishing tree installation, where guests are invited to hang written intentions for the year ahead before taking their seats. From there, the menu unfolds in stages, opening with a dim sum โBasket of Wealthโ alongside rock oysters with Sichuan sauce and XO okra. The centrepiece is wok-baked lobster in superior broth, followed by smoked Chilean seabass in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken with pineapple, and braised truffled mushrooms served with Hakka noodles.

To close, Baiju Ba Ba infused with kumquat and green cardamom mirrors the Fire Horseโs associations with transformation and forward motion, while a cocktail programme developed with Camus Cognac introduces drinks designed specifically for the season. Priced at AED 478 per person and available only during the Lunar New Year period, the menu frames cuisine as both offering and ritual.
At MiMi Mei Fair, Lunar New Year is experienced through the table itself, where meaning is built course by course.
